Oatmeal Molasses Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Argo® Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3/4 cup butter OR margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup molassess
  • 1-1/2 cups quick oats (not instant)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, ginger and cloves.  Stir in butter, eggs and molasses.  Mix until smooth with an electric mixer. Stir in oats.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, about 1 inch apart.  Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden.  Do not overbake.
