Cake Pan Coating

Great for intricate fancy cake pans; use this coating to prevent cake or breads from tearing or breaking apart when removing from the pan.  And, if you are baking gluten-free, this one has you covered!

Yield: about 2/3 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Argo® Corn Starch
  • 1/2 cup Mazola® Canola Oil
  • OR Mazola® Vegetable Plus! Oil
  • 1/2 cup shortening

Directions

  1. Beat all ingredients toether with a mixer until smooth and creamy. Keep refrigerated. When ready to use apply coating to cake pans with pastry brush.
  2. This will keep 4 to 6 months.
