Microwave Gravy

Let the savory taste of your chicken, turkey and roast recipes shine through with this ARGO easy Microwave Gravy!

By using Argo Corn Starch rather than flour, your gravy will have a clear, bright and satiny look.

Let’s get started!

In a 2-quart microwaveable bowl, thoroughly mix 2 tablespoons of Argo Corn Starch and ¼ cup of cold water. Stir these together until very smooth.

Next we’ll stir in 2 cups of broth or water.

Microwave on high for 3 minutes. Remove the gravy, and stir it very well.

Now microwave the gravy for an additional 3 minutes, or until the mixture begins to thicken and bubble. Let it boil for one minute.

Remove the gravy from the microwave. stir in 2 tablespoons of meat drippings. For a low-fat gravy, you can omit or use less drippings. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and stir well.

There you have it – homemade gravy in the microwave in less than 10 minutes!

Argo Corn Starch has twice the thickening power of flour, so you only need half as much.
