Peas and Pearl Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 tablespoon Argo® Corn Starch
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen green peas
  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen pearl onions

Directions

  1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Combine corn starch and milk in small measuring cup until combined. Gradually whisk into saucepan with butter. Stir in sherry, tarragon, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; stirring. Boil 1 minute or until sauce is thickened. Remove from heat and keep warm.
  2. Cook peas and onions according to package directions.
  3. Drain peas and onions; stir into cream sauce.
