Orange Glazed Poppy Seed Bread

Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2-1/4 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons poppy seed
- 1-1/2 teaspoons Argo® Baking Powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup Mazola® Corn Oil
- 1-1/2 teaspoons imitation orange flavor
- 1-1/2 teaspoons almond extract
- 1-1/2 teaspoons imitation butter flavor
Glaze
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon imitation orange flavor
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 tablespoons butter OR margarine
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Mix flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder and salt in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil, orange and almond extract and butter flavoring. Beat 2 minutes with electric mixer.
Divide batter evenly between 2 greased and floured 9 x 5-inch bread pans. Line bottom with waxed or parchment paper. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Combine glaze ingredients in small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Pour glaze over hot loaves of bread, in pans. Cool completely in pan.
